Apple Upside Down Cake
A delicious dessert that looks soo good, no other decoration is needed and this makes it perfect for any occasion or family gatherings.
Ingredients:
Makes about 8-10 servings
4-5 apples
50 g (1/4 cup) +1 tbsp butter
7 tbsp sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Cake
75 g about 1/3 cup butter, room temperature
5 tbsp sugar
3 eggs
3 tbsp sour cream
Grated peel of 1 lemon
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tsp baking powder
11 tbsp flour
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Butter a 10-inch(26 cm) round cake pan.
2. Peel apples and sprinkle lemon juice over them. Cut them into wedges,remove the core and slice.
3. Melt the butter in a sauce pan. Add 5 tbsp of sugar and cook until sugar dissolves and mixture turns golden brown. Pour the mixture in the prepared pan and arrange the apple slices. Sprinkle 2 tbsp of sugar and add 1 tbsp of butter cut in small pieces over the apples. Cook in the oven until you prepare the batter for the cake.
4. While the apples are in the oven prepare the cake batter. Separate egg whites from the egg yolks. Whisk together the flour and baking powder in a small bowl and set aside.
5. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until well mixed. Beat in the egg yolks, sour cream, lemon zest and vanilla extract. Stir in flour mixture and mix well.
6. Whip egg whites until very stiff and firm. Fold them into the butter mixture.
7. Remove the apples from the oven and sprinkle cinnamon on top. Pour the batter over the apples and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
8. Remove the cake from the oven and let it stand for about 5 minutes.Then run a knife around the edges of the cake to loosen it from the sides of the pan and invert the cake onto a cake plate.
9. Can be served as it is or with vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!

Caramel Apple Upside-Down Cake
Here is what you'll need!
Upside-Down Dulce De Leche Apple Cake
Serves 5-6
INGREDIENTS
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
⅓ cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 eggs
⅓ cup oil
⅓ cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup dulce de leche
3 granny smith apples, peeled and thinly sliced
Vanilla ice cream
PREPARATION
Preheat oven to 350°F/180°C.
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, eggs, oil, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Set aside.
In a small pot over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the dulce de leche and stir until mixture comes to a boil.
Immediately pour the dulce de leche mixture into a round baking pan.
Layer the apples in a circular pattern with each one overlapping the other. Repeat until the entire bottom of the pan is covered.
Pour the cake batter on top of the apples and spread the batter evenly on top.
Bake for 25 minutes, then cool until bottom is slightly warm.
Place a large round plate on top of the cake pan, then flip quickly. Give the cake pan a few pats to make sure the cake is released, then lift off the pan.
Slice, serve with ice cream!
Pastel Invertido de Manzana y Dulce de Leche
Sirve 5-6
INGREDIENTES
1 ½ tazas de harina
⅓ taza de azúcar
1 cucharadita de polvo para hornear
2 huevos
⅓ taza de aceite
⅓ taza de leche
1 cucharadita de extracto de vainilla
2 cucharadas de mantequilla
1 taza de dulce de leche
3 manzanas verdes, peladas y cortadas en rebanadas delgadas
Helado de vainilla
PREPARACION
Precalentar el horno a 350°F / 180°C.
En un tazón grande mezclar la harina, azúcar, polvo para hornear, huevos, aceite, leche y vainilla hasta que sea una mezcla homogénea, reserve a un lado.
En una olla pequeña, derretir la mantequilla a fuego medio. Agregar el dulce de leche y mover hasta que la mezcla suelte un hervor.
Inmediatamente verter la mezcla de dulce de leche en un molde redondo para hornear.
Acomodar las rebanadas de manzanas en capas y en un patrón circular posicionando una un poco encima de la otra. Repita hasta que el fondo del molde esté completamente cubierto.
Vertir la mezcla de pastel encima de las manzanas y distribuir uniformemente.
Hornear por 25 minutos, luego dejar enfriar hasta que el fondo del molde esté tibio.
Colocar un plato amplio encima del molde e invertir rápidamente. Dar unas palmaditas al molde para que el pastel se desprenda facilmente. Remover el molde.
Rebanar, y servir con helado de vainilla!

Serves: 10-12
INGREDIENTS
Cake
¾ cup butter, softened
1 ½ cup sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup milk
1 ½ cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon cinnamon
4 apples, peeled and cut into ¼-inch thick slices (recommended: granny smith or pink lady)
Sauce
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
PREPARATION
1. Preheat oven to 350°F/180°C and grease a 9” cake pan.
2. In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
3. Whisk in 3 eggs and milk until fully incorporated.
4. Add the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Whisk until combined.
5. For the sauce, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat, and stir in the brown sugar. Bring to a boil and continue to stir for 30 seconds, or until vigorously bubbling.
6. Pour the sauce into the greased cake pan.
7. Arrange the apples on top of the sauce in a circular pattern.
8. Pour cake batter on top of apples and smooth the top of the batter.
9. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the cake is done (the top will spring back when gently poked).
10. Cool for 10-15 minutes and loosen the sides of the cake by running a butter knife around the edge.
11. Place a plate upside down on top of the pan, then invert the pan, flipping the cake onto the plate.
12. Garnish slices with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
13. Enjoy!

3/4 cup (150g) sugar
3 Eggs
1/2 cup (120ml) Milk
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1¾ cups (220g) Flour
1 teaspoon Baking powder

1/2 cup (100g) light brown sugar

2. In a large bowl cream butter and sugar, add eggs, one at the time and beat until combined. add milk, vanilla extract and beat until combined. add flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and stir until incorporated. set aside.
3. Make the caramel: In a small bowl stir melted butter and brown sugar. Transfer to the prepared pan.
4. Peel the apples and thinly slice. Arrange the apples over the caramel in a circular pattern with each one overlapping the other. Repeat until the entire bottom of the pan is covered.
5. Pour cake batter on top of apples and smooth the top of the batter
6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove from the oven, allow to cool for 3-5 minutes, turn out onto serving platter. Let cool slightly before serving.

Easy Caramel Apple Upside Down Cake
Delicious super easy with basic ingredients caramel apple upside down cake. Soft spongy cake with caramel apple slices. Perfect for tea. This is a very old recipe that has been in husband’s family for years. Wonderful!
INGREDIENTS
For the Caramel and Top:
1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
3 tbsp (45 g) unsalted butter, in small pieces
2 Golden apples, peeled, cored & sliced
1 tbsp (15 ml) sweet Pedro Ximenez sherry (optional)
For the Cake:
3 eggs, at room temperature
1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
1 cup (130 g) self rising flour
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Heat the sugar in a small sauce pan until it dissolves and turns amber in color.
2. Pour the caramel over a 10 inch baking dish buttered beforehand.
3. Put the pieces of butter randomly on top of the caramel.
4. Then place the slices of apple all around to cover the bottom of the dish and pour the sweet sherry on top.
5. In a bowl, whisk the eggs together with the sugar until the mixture turns pale.
6. Add in the self rising flour and mix just until combine.
7. Pour the batter over the apples and bake at 350ºF (175ºC) for 40 minutes or until fully cooked.
8. Loosen the sides with a knife and leave it to cool for just 5 minutes.
9. Place a plate on top and carefully flip the dish. Serve and enjoy!

Amazingly Beautiful Apple & Dates Cake On Stove Top!
I made this beautiful upside-down cake in a pan, on the stovetop, using 1 apple, 1 egg, and dates. It also has simple caramel sauce too! Came out so delicious it finished in no time.
It is simple to make but has some tricks. I will try to give you all the details to have the best result.
Ingredients For Apple, Dates & Walnuts Upside Down Cake on Pan:
For 22cm nonstick pan size
For the cake batter
1 egg
1/4 cup or 3-4 tbsp sugar
1/4 cup milk
3 tbsp plain yogurt (if you don't have yogurt use 1/4 more milk)
1/4 cup or 3-4 tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil
1/2 cup plus 1 tbsp flour (Add the 1 tbsp at the end if needed for thick smooth batter consistency)
1 heaped tbsp corn or wheat starch (optional, you can use same amount flour too)
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla powder
pinch of baking soda
For the topping:
1 apple
5-7 dates (I used soft Iranian Dated) (You can use 2 apples instead)
handful of walnuts
For the simple caramel sauce
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp sugar

Ingredients per a cake in a 26/28cm pan (10inch)
3 apples
50 ml milk
3 egg whites
1 lemon
5 tablespoons of sugar
1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil

1 teaspoon baking soda
powdered sugar
1 small glass of lemoncello
Cut the apples into thin slices after having removed the peel. Season with 2 tablespoons of sugar and the limoncello, then squeeze the lemon and add it to the apples.
In a bowl mix flour, baking powder, milk and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Mix the mixture with the apples then beat the egg whites in a bowl and add them to the rest of the ingredients.
Heat the oil in a pan then pour the mixture, cook it like an omelet turning it halfway through cooking and, once removed from the heat, sprinkle with icing sugar and serve.

1 cup (200 g) white sugar
2 large eggs

lemon zest from 1 lemon
1/2 cup (120 ml) homemade buttermilk (11/2 tsp white vinegar + enough warm milk to make 1/2 cup total liquid)
2 medium green apples (Granny Smith) or more to cover the bottom of the pan.
Caramel sauce:
1/2 cup (100 g) white sugar
1/4 cup (57 g) butter
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
10 inches (25 cm) round pan
350 degrees F or 180 degrees C on the center rack for 45 minutes.

Apple upside down cake recipe - How to make upside down cake using apple - no egg and wholewheat. This whole wheat upside down cake will use Washington apples. In this apple upside down cake is also Eggless and we'll be using wholewheat flour / atta to make our cake batter.
The idea behind upside down cake is to make the top of the cake at the bottom of the cake mould and then after baking just flip the cake upside down. So the bottom layer of the cake in mould will actually becomes the top layer on the cake.

Upside down apple cake / Preokrenuti kolač sa jabukama by Mrvice
Izvanredni desert, jednostavnih sastojaka i nevjerovatnog ukusa. Kolač od jabuka pripremite na ovaj malo neobičniji način po sljedećem receptu.
RECEPT:
- 3 jabuke (izrezati na tanke ploške i preliti sokom od limuna)
- na tavi istopiti 50g putera i 5 kašika šećera
- u namašćenu tepsiju/kalup isuti karamel i puter pa redati ploškice jabuka
- posuti šećerom i staviti u zagrijanu rernu na 180ºC
Kora
- izmješati 75g putera sa 5 kašika šećera (staviti i vanilinog šećera)
- dodati 3 žumanca
- 2 kašičice praška za pecivo
- 6-7 kašika brašna
- umutiti tri bjelanca i lagano dodati smjesi
Izvaditi kalup iz rerne, posuti jabuke cimetom pa istresti smjesu preko jabuka. Peći dok kora ne postane zlatno žute boje. Probodite čačkalicom da provjerite da li je unutra pečeno. Zatim preokrenite kolač tako da jabuke budu na vrhu.
Preporučujemo serviranje toplog kolača uz kuglu sladoleda od vanilije! Dobar tek :).

Outstanding dessert, simple ingredients and amazing taste. Prepare the apple cake in this slightly different way by following the recipe.
RECIPE:
- 3 apples (cut into thin slices and sprinkle with lemon juice)
- Melt 50g butter and 5 tablespoons sugar on a pan
- Pour caramel and butter into greased pan / mold and arrange apples
- sprinkle with sugar and place in a preheated oven at 180ºC
Cake:
- mix 75g butter with 5 tablespoons sugar (add some vanilla sugar)
- Add 3 egg yolks
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 6-7 tablespoons of flour
- whisk three egg whites and gently add to the mixture
Remove the mold from the oven, sprinkle the apples with cinnamon and pour the cake mixture over the apples. Bake until the crust is golden yellow. Use a toothpick to make sure it is baked inside. Then turn the cake over so the apples are on top.
We recommend serving warm cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! Bon Appetite :).

Easy Apple Cake Recipe - How to Make the Easiest Apple Cake
Here is the recipe to make this Easy Apple Cake. It doesn't require any mixer or blender and the Apple Cake comes out moist and delicious.
EASY APPLE CAKE
Makes 6 – 8 Servings
DRY INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
1 1/2 cups of regular sugar
2 teaspoons of baking powder
4 tablespoons of butter or margarine.
WET INGREDIENTS
1 cup of milk
2 eggs and
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
APPLE FILLING
2 sour apples like Granny Smith
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
1 tablespoon of sugar
½ teaspoon of cinnamon
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
2. Prepare the Dry Ingredients: a) In medium bowl add flour, sugar, baking powder and mix with a wire whisk. b) Add the cold, cubed butter to the mixture. c) Blend the butter into the flour until the flour is becomes grainy and there are no more big pieces of butter. d) Set aside
3. Prepare the Wet Ingredients: a) In a smaller bowl add 2 eggs and beat for 3 to 5 minutes until they turn a light yellow color and frothy. b) Add the vanilla and beat well. c) Add milk slowly while beating. d) Set aside.
4. Prepare the Apple Filling: a) In a medium bowl add lemon juice. b) Core, peel and slice apples. c) Add apple slices to bowl, stirring with lemon juice. d) Add cinnamon and sugar, and stir until it's all well blended. e) Set aside.
5. Butter and Flour an 8x8x2 inch square baking dish.
6. Grab the prepared Dry Ingredients and run a knife a little less than halfway down the dry ingredients. This smaller half of the dry ingredients will be the bottom layer of the cake.
7. Lightly spoon this smaller portion of dry ingredients into the baking dish, and lightly even it out with a fork, without pressing down.
8. Grab the prepared Apple Filling and place the apple slices over the dry ingredients in the baking dish. The apple slices should slightly overlap each other.
9. Add the remainder of the prepared Dry Ingredients on top of the apple filling, spooning dry ingredients lightly over the apple slices. Give the baking dish a slight shake so the cake evens out.
10. Grab the wet ingredients, give it one last stir and then pour gently over the entire cake.
11. VERY important: let the cake sit for 10 minutes so the liquids can get soaked into the dry ingredients.
12. Bake for 55 minutes
13. Let the cake cool, serve and enjoy!

Hey friends.
Today I am making a Fall special Caramel Apple Upside Down Cake.
This is moist sponge cake with cinnamon flavoured caramelised apples on top which we are going to build upside down.
Best served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzle of caramel sauce.

Ingredients -
For the Caramel fruit layer
2 Medium Apples , washed cored and cut into slices.
1/4 Cup (55 grams) Unsalted Butter, melted
1/2 Cup (100 grams) Soft Dark brown Sugar
1/2 tbsp (7 ml) Lemon Juice, half a lemon
1 tsp (5 ml) Ground Cinnamon
For the Sponge Cake
1/2 Cup (115 grams) Unsalted Butter, melted
1/2 Cup (100 grams) Caster Sugar
2 Eggs, at room temperature
1 tsp (5 ml) Vanilla Extract
1 cup (120 grams) All Purpose Flour
1 tsp (5 ml) Baking Powder
1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) Ground Cinnamon
Pinch of Salt

Carmel Apple Upside Down Cake
I love to try new recipes, this is one of them. I tried Anna Olson’s Caramel Apple Upside Down Cake for the first time, and it is delicious the cinnamon and the caramel gives it an amazing flavor!
Ingredients:
1st Part
3 apples
2 tbsps water
1tbsp lemon juice
1 cup of sugar
¼ cup of butter
Tips: while making the caramel if you noticed on the video I was adding water to the sides of the pan, this is to wash down sugar crystals which collect on the side.
2nd Part
¼ butter at room temperature
½ cup of sugar
½ cup of brown sugar
1/3 cup of sour cream (I used with 14% fat)
4 eggs at room temperature, separated
1 tsp vanilla
1 ¼ cup of all purpose flour
1 tsp of baking powder
½ tsp of cinnamon
¼ tsp salt
Note: While folding the egg whites to cake batter, you should add them carefully, on the video it seemed fast just to save video time.
