Topic - Healthy Breakfast Idea - Cashew & Tofu Spread Sandwich | No Cheese, No Oil | MARRIED FRIENDS
It is a task every day to think about what to make quickly in the morning for breakfast and then we end up having cornflakes or other cereals.
Well, we got you covered. This cashew and tofu creamy sandwich spread is not only healthy but very tasty and super quick to make. You can make it on weekends and can use it throughout the week. You can make a sandwich, wrap or salad and start your day on a healthy note.
Let's see the detailed recipe:
What you need:
1 block (325 g) firm tofu, drained and gently pressed
3/4 cup (112.5 g) raw cashews. Soaked overnight
3 cloves garlic
4 Tbsp (60 ml) lemon juice (roughly 1 whole small lemon, or 1/2 large lemon)
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp freshly chopped basil
1 tbsp freshly chopped mint leaves
1 tsp dried oregano
Using your hands, press the tofu over the sink to drain some of the water (if you like a thicker spread - more hummus texture - squeeze out more water).
Add to a high-speed blender - cashews, lemon juice, tofu, garlic, salt and pepper. Blend until smooth, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed.
Take out in a bowl and add all your herbs. Mix Mix Mix everything. Adjust your seasonings here according to your taste.
Once mixed, place the spread in the fridge for at least an hour to set.
Storage: Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
Variations: you can try using raw, blanched almonds instead of cashews. Try adding paprika powder, dill leaves, or green onion for a different flavor.
Now spread it generously on your toasted bread and top it up with your favorite veggies - spinach, onion, tomato, capsicum and add more health and taste with some seeds on top.
Do try this recipe and I am sure you will definitely love love love Cashew and Tofu Creamy Spread Sandwich.
Serve it over breakfast in bed and your husband or wife will give you a super tight hug after having this. Tried and tested! :)

Sizzling Sisig Tofu – Max’s Style
Have you ever tried Max’s Sisig Tofu Recipe? The first time I ordered that sisig tofu, it became one of our ‘always present in the menu’ when we dine-in to Max’s. One time, I tried to imitate this sizzling tofu recipe and instantly became a hit in our dining table. So, today join me in cooking our kitchen’s version of sizzling tofu ala max or the sisig tofu max’s style.
500g firm tofu
1 cup of mayonnaise
¼ cup of oyster sauce
1 ½ tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp Knorr liquid seasoning
Salt & pepper to taste
1 tbsp lemon juice or calamansi juice
½ tbsp brown sugar
1 medium white onion, chopped finely
2 pcs long green chili (you may add according to your desired spiciness)
1. In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, oyster sauce, soy sauce, Knorr seasoning, lemon juice, sugar, salt & pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined and set aside.
2. Next is to prepare the tofu, ensure that you damp it with kitchen towel to remove any water/liquid from the tofu. Sliced into cubes, according to your desired size.
3. Deep fry the tofu until golden brown and set aside.
4. In the same pan where you fry the tofu, put butter and saute the onion just enough to maintain its crispiness. Add the chili peppers, then add also the sisig mixture. Make sure you are cooking this in a VERY LOW heat. Stir well.
5. Then, add the fried tofu, mix well and simmer for another 2 minutes, again very low heat.
6. Taste and adjust if necessary. Remove from heat.
7. Serve in a heated sizzler plate. Enjoy!
That’s it. The easy way to cook a sizzling sisig tofu ala Max’s Restaurant.

Vegan Tofu Mayonnaise by Kyong Weathersby
You can make Delicious Potato Salad and Pasta Salad with the Tofu Mayonnaise. It is heart friendly recipe that you and your family will enjoy now and ever. Total cholesterol-free and Gluten-free.
1 pkg tofu, firm, Mori-Nu silken
1/4 c soy milk powder
1 T lemon juice
1/2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp sea salt
2 T vegetable oil
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 or 2 T water
Blend all ingredients until smooth. Chill. You can keep it in a refrigerator up to 5 days. Makes 2 cups. You can use for the potato salad, pasta salad, vegetable dip, vegetarian meat spread, etc.

We’ve perfected this sublime Tofu Cheesecake number that will be a hit with your loved ones. Best of all, you can put it together without breaking a sweat - zero baking skills required!
This humble rendition of the cheesecake began as one lone New York woman’s quest for a more nutritious, and healthier cheesecake – the same ones that bear the famous city’s name. Using what she studied in macrobiotics, Marcea published a cookbook which contained the “Tofu Cheesecake” recipe. That one recipe eventually sparked a mini-revolution across the city’s restaurants in the 1980s. It was almost forgotten until almost a decade later when a Japanese-American woman named Keiko won hearts and stomachs with her masterpiece, said to have been rated as the top with “no other coming a close second”.
For the base, we go traditional with a firm spread of finely crushed digestive biscuits and melted butter. Now, for a really luscious cheesecake with an exquisite ethereal texture, we combine the thickened cream, fresh Greek yoghurt, rich cream cheese chunks, icing sugar, good full squeeze of lemon, collagen-packed gelatin, and tofu, then make sure we give it a good blend.
In our recipe, we use Vitasoy Organic Sprouted Tofu to achieve the perfect wobbly consistency and creamy smoothness that just rolls off cleanly onto your spoon. It also has 25% more calcium content compared to other tofu brands, and because it’s sprouted it will offset the heaviness by helping with the digestion.

A Crispy Tofu Recipe Idea: Vegan Filipino Sisig
Crispy tofu is the key to a ton of flavorful asian dishes because it helps to create texture and soak up flavors of any sauce. In this video, I'm taking some really crispy tofu and mixing it with mushrooms to make a Filipino staple dish like sisig, Vegan. Grab the recipe below!

Filipino Vegan Tofu & Mushroom Sisig
½ - yellow onion
1- block of firm tofu,
½ lb - crimini mushrooms & shiitake mushroom mix
½ red bell pepper
4 tbsp of silver swan soy sauce
1 tbsp of pine nuts to give it a meaty flavor (optional)
1 tbsp of cane vinegar
1/4 cup - Vegan Mayo (I use Trader Joe's Vegan Dressing Spread)
1 tsp - Garlic powder
1 stalk - Green onion for garnish
1 tsp - Rice powder for the tofu
Cracked pepper to taste
Step 1: Prep Tofu
Dice the tofu and get that in the fryer to give them texture and crispiness (7-9 minutes). Once the tofu is done, we’ll lightly season with some garlic powder and salt,, and toasted rice powder for nuttiness.
Step 2: Slice and Dice
While the tofu is frying, prepare the diced onions, peppers, and mushrooms. Set aside for searing. Ready 4 tbsp of soy into mixing cup with 1 tbsp of cane vinegar.
Step 3: Sautee
Next is to fry up the peppers & onions and caramelize the mushrooms together with the pine nuts. When golden browned (about 5 minutes), add in fried tofu and 1/2 sauce mixture. Stir until sauce is evenly distributed. Add cracked pepper, squeeze of lime juice, and remaining sauce.
Step 4: Serve
Kill the heat on the pan, stir in mayonnaise and top with green onions. Serve over bed of jasmine rice with Sriracha sauce to taste. Enjoy!

Bagels with Tofu Cream Cheese
Bagels are great way to start the day. They are easy to make at home and can be made in large batches and frozen for later use. Various topping such as sesame seeds, caramelized onions, poppy seeds, hemp hearts, pumpernickel, or cinnamon and raisins. Using tofu and nutritional yeast, a cheesy spread can be quickly made. Add a slice of heirloom tomato for a delicious treat or use them to make into a sandwich.

SICHUAN SALT + PEPPER TOFU RECIPE | EASY CHINESE VEGAN DISH
LAY HO MA everyone! This is one side dish you're going to want to try! Serve this with delicious fluffy white rice or the perfect bowl of Chinese congee, and you're off to the races. Join me in this episode and learn how to make a Sichuan Chinese salt and pepper tofu! Let's begin.
1lb extra firm tofu
1/2 tbsp Sichuan peppercorns
3 pieces garlic
3 sticks green onion
1 piece ginger
1/4 cup dried chilies
1/2 tsp black peppercorns
1/4 pink salt
drizzle of olive oil
1. Pre-heat your oven to 375F
2. Dry off the tofu with a paper towel. Then, slice into bite sized cubes
3. Spread the tofu onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper
4. Bake for 15-20min
5. Toast the peppercorns in a hot dry sauté pan for 1min
6. Transfer to a mortar and pestle and, add the salt, and grind finely
7. Roughly chop the dried chilies, roughly chop the garlic, thinly slice the ginger, and roughly chop the green onion
8. In a hot sauté pan, drizzle some olive oil. Then, add the chilies, garlic, ginger, and green onion. Sauté for 3-5min.
9. Add the tofu and sauté for 2-3min. Then, add the ground pepper. Give it a stir.
10. Serve immediately!
