Nigella's poached peaches, perfect for summer!
Peach White Wine Sangria
Instead of a hearty red wine typically used in a sangria, we've substituted a crisp white and added a sweet hint of fresh peaches to create our peach white wine sangria. Enjoy!

• 3 oz raspberry vodka
• 2 cups ginger ale
• 1½ cups white grape-peach juice
• 2-3 fresh or frozen peaches, sliced
• 6 oz pkg fresh or frozen raspberries

At this time of the year, you’re probably feeling dull and tired, and appalled by greasy foods.

Also, don’t forget to put in some crystal sugar, wolfberries, and dried fruits!

It has become almost a pattern for me: every year when yellow peaches are ripe, I make the exact same things as I did last year - canned yellow peaches, jam, and dried peaches...
This year, I also picked out some soft ones and made yellow peach wine out of them.
I tried this vanilla & yellow peach & roasted ribs recipe which I thought was gonna be a gruesome combination,
but it turned out to be finger-licking delicious!

Grilled Peaches with Honeyed Mascarpone
Summer is a great time of year for two things: 1. Grilling outdoors and 2. Buying fresh, local produce. Therefore, this grilled peaches recipe is the perfect summer dessert dish. Peaches are in season during the hotter months between May and August. In this video, we used delicious, local Brittany Lane peaches from Milburn Orchard. The peaches become slightly caramelized once grilled, making them even sweeter before being topped with the creamy, mouthwatering mascarpone filling. This is a must have dessert for your next outdoor barbeque!
Behavioral Health & Nutrition students in the College of Health Sciences at the University of Delaware share healthy recipes from their summer kitchen at the UD farm.

Poached Pears in Red Wine Recipe
Poached pears in spiced red wine recipe - aromatic and delicious dessert.
5-6 firm large pears
1 bottle red wine (750ml)
1 cinnamon stick
1/2 tsp clove
2 star anise
3/4 (150g) cup sugar
1 vanilla bean (optional)
1. peel pears, leaving stem intact and being careful not to blemish the flesh of the pears. Slice 1/2-inch off the bottom of the pears to create a flat bottom.
2. In a medium size saucepan combine red wine, cinnamon, cloves, star anise and sugar. Place pealed pears in the liquid. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 30-35 minutes. turning every 5 minutes to ensure even color, until pears are cooked but still firm
3. Cool to room temperature. cover and chill in refrigerator at least 2 hours. Drizzle each pear with few tablespoons syrup and serve.
• Before serving you also can simmer the syrup without the pears for another 15-20 min to get more syrupy liquid.
• You can serve in cold or at room temperature.
• I used medium size pears but I recommend to use large pears for better results.
