Milky Way Candy Bar Cake
This Sheet style cake is made with Milky Way Candy Bars and it is SSS000 Fantastic!
RECIPE:
use a jelly roll pan, the one that I used (15 x10x1) was little small as the batter overflowed just a bit. May use a 9x13 pan Line the pans with parchment or butter and flour bottom of pans.
Cake
1/2 cup softened butter
2 cups granulated sugar
2 tsp vanilla
4 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
May use an electric mixer
Cream the butter and sugar together add the vanilla and then the eggs one at a time till well blended
add the buttermilk
add dry ingredients
then FOLD into the batter candy bar mixture below
Melt the candy bars and the chocolate below in a microwavable bowl and mix till combined
14 ounces of Milky Way bars ( my bars were 1.84 oz. so I used around 7-1/2 bars)
1/2 cup butter
Pour batter into the baking pan and spread batter out evenly into all the corners.
Bake 30 minutes at 350 cool cake before icing it.
Icing:
3 Milky Way bars
1/2 cup butter
3-1/2 cups powdered sugar
3 TBs. milk
Melt the candy bars and the butter and stir till smooth. Add the powdered sugar and milk
Beat in mixer till well combined. Work quickly at this point because the icing may begin to fudge up get thick.
How to Bake Super Soft Moist Butter Cake Easy
Soft & Moist Butter Cake. Butter cake is the first cake I learned when I started baking. I should say it's the easiest cake to make but just need a lot of patience in the mixing of the batter. It is unlike moist chocolate cake or sponge cake which can't be over mixed. Butter cake takes double or triple the time especially in the process of mixing the butter and sugar. We need to make it as light, soft and fluffy as possible so that the cake will not sink, as far as the butter weight is concerned. Overall it is still easy to make, just take a little longer than normal cakes. I hope you will give this a try :)
Ingredients:
250g (1 cup) unsalted butter (you will see the g on the packaging)
200g (1 cup) castor sugar (you can add another 20-30g or 2-3 tbsp more if you like it sweeter)
5 eggs
230g (1 3/4 cups) cake flour or all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder (I apologize about the typo on the video, NOT baking soda)
50g (1/4 cup) milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
Note* I don't normally use cups in all my cakes. I have the measurement in internet source. Should you think the cup measurement seems not right, please let me know. Thanks
I am using a 7x7 inch square baking pan. You can also use a round baking pan or loaf pan.
Instructions:
1. Preheat over at 320°F / 160°C.
2. Sift the flour and baking powder. Set aside.
3. In the mixing bowl, add in the butter and sugar. Mix it on low speed for 2 minutes until the sugar disappear. Then increase to medium speed and mix for 15 minutes. One of the keys to this butter cake, these 2 ingredients must be mixed well. Continue mixing until the butter is white, light and fluffy. You will see that in about 15 minutes.
4. Add in the eggs, one by one. Mix until the yellow eggs disappear.
5. Add in the sifted dry ingredients spoon by spoon. This is another key to make good butter cake.
6. Add the milk and vanilla extract. Continue mixing for another 3-5 minutes.
7. Pour the batter into the baking pan. Bake at 320°F / 160°C for 55-60 minutes.
8. Test the cake using the cake test.
9. Cool the cake on the cooling rack for about 15 minutes. Once it is cooled, you may cut and serve the cake.
*Note: Feel free to use a hand mixer, if you don't not have a large mixer.
Frequently Asked Questions :
1. Why do I need to mix the butter for so long?
I learned this recipe from my aunt. It kind of like passed down in the family. But after making this cake for many times, I finally understand why. Butter is a very heavy content, and you know this is a butter cake. It's like the main character in this recipe. If you don't mix it long enough, it will become clumpy and that's why your cake will sink. If only you are baking a regular sponge cake which doesn't consume much butter, you don't actually have to mix so long. However, they normally rely on a lot of air leven ingredients, b soda & b powder. This cake on the other hand doesn't quite rely so much, only 1/2 tsp of b powder, that's it. So the mixing of the butter and sugar is the key, which will eventually make the cake rise and soft and light.
2. Why is my batter so thick when the one in video is thin?
It's fine and absolutely correct if yours is thick. The video is thin due to my room temp and time taken for shooting became liquidy that day.

How to Make Stable, Glossy, Egg-free and EASY Buttercream Recipe (Condensed Milk Buttercream)
We really had fun making this tutotial and we were surprised ourselves on how they turned up. A QoHCC Buttercream recipe (can be found on Red Velvet tutorial-link below) is a crusting type of buttercream-meaning, the surface dries up a bit and develops a crust. Using this BC, you can do more techniques with it.
But with these Glossy BC recipes, they will never crust. They will remain tacky/sticky as it does not have a solid ingredient like cups of icing sugar. However, personally, we think that these two recipes are really good and friendly. It is not temperimental like the Swiss Meringinue or Italian Meringue BC's but taste and texture can be comparable to both. Another advantage is, it is egg free. ????
We really hope that you enjoy this video as much as we did. We learned a lot ourselves because we always use our own QoHCC recipe due to stability and versatility...BUT, we think we would be using 2 recipes from now on. Covering can be QoHCC bc, then some decorations can be this glossy buttercream. ???? We will keep testing both recipes when we hold classes in different countries.

Ingredients:
Glossy Buttercream (Condensed Milk)
1cup/225g-250g (1 block) of Unsalted butter (2 sticks butter)
1/2 cup - 113-125g of vegetable shortening
397g - 14oz of condensed milk
Glossy Buttercream (Dissolved Sugar)
1cup/225g-250g (1 block) of Unsalted butter (2 sticks butter)
1/2 cup - 113-125g of vegetable shortening
150ml of water or milk
300g or powdered sugar
Note: the lesser the water content, the better, you can maybe reduce to 100ml water/milk instead. Beating is also longer in this method. Make sure to add the syrup slowly and small quantity at a time and let it incorporate first before adding more. If still not incorporated well, chill for few minutes until slightly firm, then beat again until incorporated.
You can also reduce the water or milk to 100ml or even less as long as the sugar is dissolved. We find that the less water, the less likely it will separate, less likely you will panic too! haha

This is a Turkish cake (Spinach cake) that You cannot tell it’s spinach, so don’t tell your guests or kids the secret ingredient until after they eat it…they will be amazed! Sometimes the green is a richer and darker in colour and sometimes it is lighter, it does not affect the taste of the cake. The cake is soft, moist, milky that you can't stop eating it again and again.
It’s a great way to get your kids to eat spinach, without them even knowing! Just ask who wants some green cake?

INGREDIENTS :
FOR THE CAKE -
Spinach - 2 handful
Water - to cook spinach
Whole egg - 3 nos
Sugar - 3/4 cup
Vanilla essence - 1 tspn
All purpose flour - 1 cup
Baking powder - 1 tspn
Salt - 1/4 tspn
Any vegetable Oli - 1/4 cup
FOR THE MILK MIXTURE TO SOAK CAKE -
Milk - 1 cup
Whipping cream or fresh cream - 1/2 cup
Condensed milk - 1/2 cup
METHOD OF PREPARATION:
(Baking time 180 degree (30 min) or until cake is done according to your oven.
Pan size - 7.5 inch, 8 inch or 8.5 inch. Here I have taken 8.5 inch pan).
Cook washed and cleaned spinach with enough water or you can cook by steaming until it was done (it may take 5 - 7 min). Strain water and cool them and make a smooth spinach paste by blending. In a bowl mix flour, baking powder and salt. Keep it aside. In a large bowl break 3 medium size egg. To this add sugar and vanilla essence. Beat them in a high speed with an egg beater until fluffy or ribbon consistency. To this add oil and beat in a very low speed for a second. To this add the flour mixture in batches and mix slowly with a spatula. Finally add spinach paste and mix well. Grease a cake pan. Put a parchment paper at the bottom and dust with flour at the side. Pour the mixture to this. Tap well to remove air bubble. Bake in a oven or as shown in the video.
Meanwhile preparing a milk mixture to soak the cake. Mix milk, cream and condensed milk together. After the cake was done cool them slightly, remove the parchment paper. Pour the milk mixture over the cake. Top up with some whipped cream if needed. Refrigerate the cake over night for a better taste.

(A) Yeast mixture:-
1. 165ml Warm milk
2. 5g ( 1 tsp ) Caster sugar
3. 3g ( 1 tsp ) Instant dried yeast
(B) Dough:-
1. 220g ( 1 1/2 cup ) Bread flour
2. 15g ( 1 tbsp ) Caster sugar
3. 2g ( 1 tsp ) Salt
4. 1 tbsp Milk powder
5. 15g ( 1 tbsp ) Soften butter
Bake in preheated 165°C ~ 190°C oven for 20 ~ 25 minutes.
Baking time & temperature may vary depending on the type and accuracy of oven. You may need to adjust your oven temperature accordingly.

Here’s how
1- Whisk together 2 eggs and 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar.
2- Add 200 ml of milk, 1 + ¼ cup of all-purpose flour, 2 tsp of baking powder and 2 tsp vanilla powder. Beat until you have a smooth batter.
3- Heat a lightly oiled non-stick frying pan over a medium heat.
4- Gently pour about 1 tbsp of batter onto the hot pan.
5- Wait until the bubbles form on the surface and once they start popping, flip the pancake over and cook until both sides are golden.
6- Repeat until all the batter is used up.
7- Once both sides are golden, transfer to a serving plate!

Live Cook-a-long: One Pan Red Curry
One Pan Red Curry
INGREDIENTS:
200g Tempeh, crumbled into 3cm pieces (can use firm tofu or chicken breast/thigh if you prefer as well)
160g Red onions, sliced
5cm ginger, grated
2 tbsp Coconut Oil
2 any curry paste will work
160g Mangetout / sugar snap peas
160g peas, roughly chopped (or sub with green beans/asparagus)
2 tbsp peanut butter (smooth or crunchy will work)
1 tbsp coconut cream (or half a can of coconut milk)
1x Lime, juice
20g Coriander, chopped
Peanuts, crushed
INSTRUCTIONS:
Cook the tempeh in a large casserole dish on medium heat with 1tbsp coconut oil for 3-4 mins until browned on the outside
Remove and set aside, add the onions to the same pan with the rest of the oil and saute for 3-4 minutes, then add the paste and ginger stirring for 2 minutes until coloured
Add the mangetout, peas , peanut butter, coconut cream, 300mls boiling water and bring to a simmer for 7-8 min
Add the cooked tempeh back for the last 2 mins of cooking
Finish with coriander, lime and peanuts

Brown sugar ingredients:
2 cups muscovado sugar
2 cups tapioca pearls
Procedure:
1) Cook for 2 min. over low heat
2) Add tapioca pearls
3) Mix well until sugar melts
4) Cool completely
Cream mousse ingredients:
1/2 cup creamcheese, softened at room temp.
1/3 cup all purpose cream, chilled
3-4 tbsp liquid milk
Mix until smooth and creamy
Assemble Milk base:
1) Brown sugar syrup/tapioca pearls + Full cream milk + ice
2) Add toppings: Cream mousse and muscovado
3) Cover and serve
Milk Substitute: 4-5tbsp powdered milk + 1 cup hot water
Brown Sugar Milk Tea:
1) Combine 1 bag of black tea and 1/3 cup hot water. Let it sit for 3-5min. and cool completely
2) Pour tea into the cup and add full cream milk
3) Add toppings
Milk Substitute: 1 cup black tea + 5 tbsp creamer
1 cup black tea + 5 tbsp powdered milk

Pizza is something everyone loves, be it as a quick bite or as a meal. One recipe of Pizza that you guys have been requesting for is Cheese Burst Pizza. This is originally found at Domino's in Indian stores, they fill the pizza crust with cheese sauce, then assemble the pizza and bake it, giving the traditional American pizza a whole new twist!
Although I perfected this recipe around February of 2015, that was a tricky recipe with the usage of many ingredients(like eno) and cheese types for the sauce. Today, showing a very easy and quick recipe which tastes exactly the same! :)

Ingredients for Cheese Burst Pizza:
Warm Water - 1/2 cup
Sugar - 1 tbsp
Yeast - 1 tsp
Flour / Maida - 1 1/2 cup
Milk Powder - 2 tbsp
Salt - 1 Tsp
Butter - 1 tbsp
Dry Flour / Maida - to help to roll
Maize Flour / Makai ka atta - to help to roll

Ingredients:
For Ice Cream Base
225 ml Cream (36% Full Fat)
125 ml Condensed Milk
For Coating of the Choco bar
100 gms Milk Chocolate
70 gms Dark Chocolate
2 tbsp Butter (unsalted)
Method: Let's start with Ice Cream base for which Pour Chilled Cream into the Bowl, next start mix the Cream (as shown in the Video). To this Whipped Cream add Condensed Milk, mix it with the cream. Next, pour the Mixture into the Mould of Choco Bar ( as shown in the video), insert the candy stick through the mold after pouring the Mixture. Now do the same with Kulfi pour the Mixture in and insert the sticks in, freeze both overnight.
Now let's make the coating of the Choco bar for which Boil the water in the pan on top place the glass bowl for making the Double boiler, next add Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate & Butter (unsalted) into the Bowl. Turn the Mixture for 30 seconds for melting the Chocolate, next pour it into the Cup or Glass. Now Dip the Choco Bar Kulfi into the coating of Chocolate and your Summer Special Choco bar ice Cream is ready to enjoy.

Ingredents;
2 cup milk
2 tbsp milk powder
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp+1 tsp corn starch
1/4 cup milk ( for corn starch )
200 gr chocolate ( I have used couverture)
* Use medium heat.
