Jalapeno Jelly - How to Make It - Recipe
Subscribe for new videos everyday. The complete recipe for how to make jalapeno jelly with instructions and measurements is on my website:
I came upon my first mention of jalapeno jelly in a recipe for something else - it was just sort tossed in as a passing thought. The rest if the recipe was mildly interesting, but I thought to myself, I need to learn how to make jalapeno jelly. The spicy and the sweet are such a nice contrast that it would be great on corn biscuits or buttermilk biscuits. And that turns out to be true - but it is really good on lots of things.

My mom calls my wife her Daughter-in-Love and frankly, I know why. I am extremely lucky with the in-laws that I have. They are pretty understanding about having a son in law that has some ideas that are so out of the box, they sometimes don't even HAVE a box to come out of, so when my sister in law asked me to make her a you tube video, I had to do it. I have been canning for a while, but this is my first attempt at jelly of any kind, but it did come out pretty good, if I do say so myself.
This doesn't make a lot of jelly, especially when you consider how much sugar it took to make it, but It tastes pretty darn good with cream cheese and club crackers.
That being said, here's how I did it:
• 3/4 lb to 1 pound of Peppers
• 6 cups sugar
• 2 cups of 5% apple cider vinegar (or plain white 5% vinegar).
• 3 packets of dry pectin (or 3 pouches of liquid pectin)
• green food coloring (optional)
• Jar funnel
• Jar grabber
• At least 1 large pot
• large spoons and ladles
• Mason Jars (Jelly sized)
• 1 Water bath Canner
• One 6 - 8 quart pot or saucepan
Any jars that the lids did not suck down are no good for storage, so mix them ½ and ½ with cream cheese and eat with crackers, it's the only way I eat pepper jelly...

Jalapeno Jelly Recipe - How to Make Jalapeno Jelly
1/2 pound jalapeno peppers chopped
4 cups granulated sugar
1 1/4 cups cider vinegar
1/4 cup lime juice
1 teaspoon salt
3 ounces liquid fruit pectin
4 drops green food coloring if preferred - NOTE: I didn't use any and you can see the jelly is still pretty green
Add the jalapeno peppers to a food processor and pulse them until they are very finely chopped. Do not overdo it or you’ll wind up with a puree.
Scoop out the peppers and add to a large pan.
Add sugar, vinegar, lime juice, and salt.
Bring to a boil then reduce heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes.
Strain out the jalapeno peppers and return the mixture to the pan.
Return heat to high and bring liquid to a boil. Stir in pectin and boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
If using food coloring, add it now and stir.
Ladle the hot liquid into clean jars and screw on the lids.
Cool overnight in the refrigerator. The mixture will solidify into jelly.

Easy Homemade Peach and Jalapeno Pepper Jam | No Pectin | Quick & Delicious
New addiction: Peach & Jalapeños Pepper Jam! Sweet, tangy, spicy & delicious! This versatile jam can be used with cheese & crackers or with toast or bagel, and can be used as glaze for chicken!
2 cups peaches (peeled and finely chopped)
1 jalapeño (seeded and finely chopped)
4 small sweet peppers (seeded and finely chopped)
3-4 tablespoons lemon juice
3 tbsp cider vinegar
2 cups white sugar
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon red chilli flake
2 sprig rosemary
Before you begin, place a small plate or saucer in the freezer so you can check the jam's consistency towards the end of cooking.
Peel the skin and discard the pits. Cut peaches into thin wedges.
In a large heavy bottomed pan add all the ingredients, peaches, sugar, rosemary, lemon juice, peppers, and vinegar, bring to a boil. Simmer for 5 to 8 minutes.
Remove from heat and let it cool for 10 minutes.
Strain the liquid from the peaches & discard the rosemary.
Use the masher to mash the peaches.
Return the liquid back to the pan and bring to boil. Lower the flame and add the peaches and peppers back to the liquid and boil for another 5 to 7 minutes. Skim off foam with a spoon and discard. To test the jam, spoon a small amount onto the saucer that's been chilling in the freezer.
Pour into clean warm, sterilized jars, filling to within 1/4-inch of rim. Refrigerate in jars for short-term use.

The recipe called for:
1 cup of berries (black)
1 cup honey (I love using locally sourced honey)
1 Cup minced jalapenos
