MIXED BERRY COMPOTE (sauce) RECIPE
Hi Guys, this is just a very quick, very simple video about how to make some mixed berry compote. I used raspberries, blackberries and blueberries but you can use which ever combination you like. You don't even have to do berries if you don't want to. Just keep in mind that if you use a fruit with more water such as citrus, it will change the consistency.
Ingredients
10 oz of mixed fruit
2 Tbsps of Sugar (1 TBSP if you are using a sugar alternative like I did)

1 CUP WATER
1 CUP SUGAR
4 LIMES
3 PAPAYAS, PEELED AND CUBED
4 BANANAS SLICED INTO RINGS
METHOD
BOIL THE WATER WITH THE SUGAR. SIMMER FOR 3 MINUTES ON A MEDIUM HEAT. REMOVE THE SYRUP FROM THE FLAME, TRANSFER TO A LARGE BOWL, AND LET COOL.
REMOVE A STRIP OF RIND FROM THE LIME, AND SQUEEZE THE JUICE OUT OF ALL 4 LIMES. WHEN THE SYRUP HAS COOLED, ADD THE LIME JUICE, LIME RIND, PAPAYAS, AND BANANA RINGS.
COVER WITH CLING FILM, AND COOL IN THE FRIDGE FOR AT LEAST ONE HOUR.

Quince Compote Recipe is Healthy Light Beverages
Hello, Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to everyone happy days
Quince compote okay recipe
Beside the meals in this video I'm consuming quince
Choose yellow and hardy
Wash the outer face of the legs with plenty of water

COMPOTE / STEWED DRIED FRUITS | TURKISH HOŞAF
Hoşaf - is a Turkish dessert made of dried fruits like raisins, dried prunes, apricots, figs and etc..boiled in water with some sugar and left to cool. Hoşaf may also contain cinnamon or cloves.
It is often consumed with dishes without juices, such as pilaf and makarna, just like cacık. It is especially consumed during Ramadan as tradition.
Differently from kompot, hoşaf is always served cold. Whereas the similar and more universal, fresh fruit compote is called komposto in Turkish..
How to Make Hoshaf (Fruit Compote)
This drink can be had cold or warmed! Add cloves or cinnamon sticks to the jar for extra flavor and experiment with other fruits. Have it with heavy foods like rice and stew, or in place of your evening hot chocolate. Keeps in the fridge for at least 2 weeks.

Use equal parts of the following or what appeals to you, we usually increase the amount of dried plums.
1/2 cup dried figs- use whole or cut into small pieces.
1/2 cup dried apricots- use whole or cut into small pieces..
1 cup dried plums- use whole .
1/2 cup dried cranberries or raisins.
5 cup hot water or to cover.
Optional
1 Tablespoon sugar.
1/2 teaspoon orange blossom water.
Nuts of your choice, preferably almonds and pine nuts.

Dessert Pizza Recipe Using A Homemade Lipote Fruit Compote
A few weeks ago we visited the La Vega Estate and Mr Manhin was gracious enough to show us around and he also gave us a few fruits to try. One of the fruits he gave us was Lipote, it was the first time I heard about this fruit. A berry that gets darker as it ripens. Tart in flavor with a hint of sweetness and the flesh is reminiscent of pommerac as they are actually relatives.
I ate most of mine fresh but also wanted to try making a dessert with it. So I decided to make a compote that will be the base for a dessert pizza. In culinary terms a compote is fruit stewed in liquid with sugar and other flavorings.
I'm aware that Lipote is not the easiest thing to find and if you want to try this recipe to get identical results, comment below and I will see if I can get Mr Manhin to sell it at La Vega. But you can easily substitute the Lipote with sorrel, blueberries, cranberries, strawberries, sour cherries or apples. Any fruit that has tart flavors will give you a similar outcome in terms of flavor.
