So here we have our whiting. This fish is in the cod family. It's a very sweet, white-fleshed fish. It was very popular years ago, here in our sea port of Gloucester, Massachusetts.
I want to show you how you would clean this fish. So the first step that you would do is, you would rinse them off in the sink. And you're just going to cut. There's like a gill here. You would cut the head off at an angle, just like this.
In here would be the body, all the guts. You just remove that with your finger. You're going to place the fish down. And holding the tail firmly and with the knife, you're going to start at the end. And you're just going to scrape along the skin.
Now, you would think that you're going to tear the skin. It's amazing. You really don't.
The scales just pop right off. And you're just going to keep going down the fish like this, until they're all removed. You're going to rotate the fish, going all the way around.
Here we have some bones. We leave these on. It makes it easier when you're eating them. Believe it or not.
Once they're clean, you're going to give them another rinse and dry them. So now that we have our fish all cleaned, I'm going to show you how to prepare Fried Merluzzi.
So here we have about two cups of flour. So we're going to put about two teaspoons of kosher salt into the flour and some fresh ground pepper. I'm going to say about a teaspoon. I'm just going to give it a little swirl around.
Now, here I have whole milk. So we're putting the fish into the milk bath and then right into the seasoned flour, just going to give it a little shake. I'm going to set this one aside. We want to put them all into the oil at the same time.
Now, you can see our oil is bubbling. We're ready. We're going to add our fish.
You can see that, on the edges here, it's starting to get a little golden brown. They're going to cook about two to three minutes on each side, depending on the size of your fish too. Sometimes these come a little bit smaller. And they do come a little larger. But over all, they are a smaller fish.
We're just going to turn them over. Oh, these look so good. Growing up, my dad would bring buckets of these home. And we always knew what we were going to have for dinner.
So here our whiting is all cooked. We're going to remove it. I have here just a glass Pyrex pie dish, lined with a paper towel. We just put it over here.
Oh, wait until you taste this. I tell you this brings back great memories. At this point, what we're going to do is, we're going to use a little kosher salt. And while it's warm in the key. Just give it a little sprinkle, flip the fish. And we're going to give it another little sprinkle. And here is your Fried Merluzzi.

In this Easy Honey Garlic Sauce recipe, we will teach you how to make homemade honey garlic Sauce that will having you licking your fingers for sure! What you will need to make this recipe:
OR Buy Honey Garlic Sauce HERE:
1/3 cup Soy Sauce
1/2 cup Honey
5 Cloves Minced Garlic
1 tsp Minced Ginger
corn starch to thicken (use as desired) NOTE: the sauce will thicken as it cools.
***HOW TO MAKE THIS EASY HONEY GARLIC SAUCE RECIPE***
First you are going to want to gather all your ingredients together. Once this is all done, you are going to begin by mincing up your garlic and ginger. Once this is done you will add the soy sauce, ginger and garlic together and let it simmer for a few minutes to help pull out the flavour of the garlic and ginger. This will also help soften them.
After a few minutes, add in your honey and mix well. At this point give your sauce a taste and adjust it to your taste. Once you are happy with your flavour, add your corn starch which has been mixed with cold water to your honey garlic sauce. This will begin to thicken it until it reaches your desired consistency and thickness.
After you have thickened your honey and Garlic sauce to your desired thickness, remove it from the heat and let cool at room tempreture. NOTE: this sauce will thicken a bit more once it is cooled so make sure to take that into consideration when thickening your sauce.

Stuart boat show:
1/3 cup lemon juice
1/3 cup red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon fresh thyme
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cloves garlic – pressed
4 amberjack steaks (4-oz. each)
Cracked pepper and salt to taste
In a shallow bowl or large resalable plastic bag, combine first six ingredients.
Add fish to bag and allow to marinate for 30 minutes, turning occasionally.
In the meantime, prepare grill for medium heat, approximately 300-350 degrees.
Remove fish from bag and discard marinade. Sprinkle generously with salt and pepper.
Place fish on grill rack and cook 4 minutes on each side or until fish flakes easily with a fork.

Whiting are a 10-15 long fish common in Gulf of Mexico waters, often near beaches. The mean is very high quality and has been compared with sheepshead - white, flaky, and sweet. This video shows how to clean them quickly and simply with a standard fillet knife (not electric)
Creamy Coconut Chicken - Dinner in 30 Minutes
Creamy coconut chicken is another of our 30 minute dinner recipes. It makes a great midweek meal and most of the ingredients, except for the chicken, you'll have in your pantry. Believe me, you'll never think this exotic dish made up in half an hour with so few ingredients. Get the recipe:
As with all our recipes, there are a few ways you can change it to suit your taste. First, you can use just about any brand of coconut milk. Make sure it's a decent brand as it is the star of the dish.
I use boneless, skinless breasts simply because they are simple and healthy. Any cut of chicken can be used, however. If you're using bone-in chicken, make sure you adjust the cooking time accordingly.
We use a simple combination of garlic, onion, paprika, chili flakes, salt, and pepper. You can adjust the amounts or add additional spices if you wish.

Frying up and Eating Silver Perch. A simple 3 minutes or so on each side in the frying pan and they are ready to eat.

This was a great day the wind started at 4mph and when I left it was 12mph. High tide was at two thirty pm. and it is spring break! What better way to dodge the crowds then hop in my canoe and paddle out to the end of the jetty. I got eight crabs all over 4 legal size and decided to make a delicious crab rangoon with teriyaki chicken fried rice, and can't forget the sweet chili sauce!!!!
