Chocolate Indulgence Cake Recipe | Cotton Soft Chocolate Cake | Chocolate Glaze
Chocolate Indulgence Cake – If there are all the cakes lined in the café, I will always pick something with chocolate. Why is it called Chocolate Indulgence? This cake is made of all the chocolates you know. White chocolate and dark chocolate ganache and glaze with chocolate sponge cake, so delicious. I will not think this is too much chocolate. This cake is well balance with white chocolate, a little milky and creamy feeling. The glaze without gelatin turned out so amazing with a few lines of white chocolate drizzle décor, looks so simple and elegant. I hope you’re inspired to make this cake. Let me know your thoughts and how your version turned out as I’m excited to share this recipe with you. Enjoy!

Ingredients:
• Chocolate Sponge Cake
I am using 6-inch round pan
3 egg yolks
50g [¼ cup] fine sugar
48g [3½ tbsp] light oil
60ml [¼ cup] milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
¼ tsp salt (sorry I think I left out that video clip)
90g [¾ cup] cake flour
18g [2½ tbsp] cocoa powder
3 egg whites
½ tsp cream of tartar
50g [¼ cup] fine sugar
• White Chocolate Ganache
140g [1 cup] white compound chocolate
75g [¼ cup + 1 tbsp] whipped cream, hot
• Dark Chocolate Ganache
200g [1½ cup] dark compound chocolate
200g [¾ cup + 1 tbsp] whipping cream, hot
• Chocolate Glaze
170g [1 cup] dark chocolate coins or compound chocolate
170g [¾ cup] whipping cream, hot
8g [½ tbsp] butter
20g [1 tbsp] honey (to give the glaze a shine, optional)
sugar syrup
[1 tbsp sugar + 1 tsp coffee powder
+2 tbsp hot water] cool before using
Décor
White chocolate drizzle [you can warm up the remaining chocolate until drizzle consistency]
Dark chocolate piping
Dark chocolate & Pistachio nuts, chopped
Instructions:
• Chocolate Sponge Cake
Please refer to
• White Chocolate Ganache
1. Chop the white chocolate bar into fine pieces to ease the melting and no lumps. Transfer into a bowl.
2. Add the hot whipping cream. Make sure all the chocolate submerge into the cream. Let it rest for 5 min.
3. After 5 min, mix the chocolate vigorously until all melted and no lumps. If you still find lumps in the mixture, pop it into the microwave for 1 min to break the lumps. The mixture should be smooth and creamy.
4. Cover with cling film and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
5. After 1 hour, use a mixer to mix the mixture until creamy and stiff.
6. Transfer into a piping bag and set aside.
• Dark Chocolate Ganache (exactly the same way as the white chocolate ganache above)
1. Chop the dark chocolate bar into fine pieces to ease the melting and no lumps.
• Assemble the Cake
Please refer to
• Chocolate Glaze
1. In a bowl, add the chocolate melts/coins and hot whipping cream.
Remark: you can also use dark compound chocolate. Any chocolate that can melt easily.
2. Place the bowl over a double boiler. Mix vigorously until the chocolate is completely melted and no lumps. The mixture should be smoothen and flowing consistency.
3. Strain the mixture. Let it rest until the temperature comes down to about 35°C-37°C.
Remark: if you don't have a thermometer, feel with your hand, the mixture is completely cool but in drizzle consistency. Do not over rest it, as the temperature goes down, the chocolate mixture will become thicker and thicker and harder to spread on the cake. You can always reheat the mixture again if you think it’s too thick and not drizzle consistency anymore. Then wait again until 35°C-37°C.
4. Pour the glaze over the cake. Let the glaze drip for about a minute. When it stop dripping, transfer to cake onto the cake plate.

How to Make the Most Amazing Chocolate Cake
The Most Amazing Chocolate Cake is here. I call this my Matilda Cake because I swear it’s just as good as the cake that Bruce Bogtrotter ate in Matilda. Moist, chocolaty perfection. This is the chocolate cake you’ve been dreaming of!

PRINTABLE RECIPE: ????️ ????️
BUTTERMILK SUBSTITUTE:
????????????????????????????????????
✅Ingredients
• butter and flour for coating and dusting the cake pan
• 3 cups all-purpose flour
• 3 cups granulated sugar
• 1½ cups unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1 tablespoon baking soda
• 1½ teaspoons baking powder
• 1½ teaspoons salt
• 4 large eggs
• 1½ cups buttermilk
• 1½ cups warm water
• ½ cup vegetable oil
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
✅Instructions
1️⃣ 00:00:17 - Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter three 9-inch cake rounds. Dust with flour and tap out the excess.
2️⃣ 00:01:19 - Mix together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a stand mixer using a low speed until combined.
3️⃣ 00:01:44 - Add eggs, buttermilk, warm water, oil, and vanilla. Beat on a medium speed until smooth. This should take just a couple of minutes.
4️⃣ 00:02:31 - Divide batter among the three pans. I found that it took just over 3 cups of the batter to divide it evenly.
5️⃣ 00:02:47 - Bake for 30-35 minutes until the cake meets the toothpick test (stick a toothpick in and it comes out clean).
6️⃣ 00:03:06 - Cool on wire racks for 15 minutes and then turn out the cakes onto the racks and allow to cool completely.
7️⃣ Frost with your favorite frosting and enjoy!
Notes
The better quality cocoa powder you use the better the cake will taste.
00:03:30 - CHOCOLATE CREAM CHEESE BUTTERCREAM FROSTING
✅Ingredients
• 1½ cups butter, softened
• 8 oz cream cheese, softened
• 1½ cups unsweetened cocoa powder
• 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 7-8 cups powdered sugar
• about ¼ cup milk (as needed)
✅Instructions
1️⃣ 00:03:38 - In a large bowl, beat together butter and cream cheese until fluffy. Use a hand mixer or stand mixer for best results
2️⃣ 00:03:57 - Add in cocoa powder and vanilla extract. Beat until combined.
3️⃣ 00:04:23 - Beat in powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time. Add milk as necessary to make a spreadable consistency. The frosting should be very thick and will thicken even more if refrigerated.
Notes
In the photos above, an extra dark cocoa powder was used in the frosting. Extra dark cocoa will result in a much darker, almost black frosting.

Best Chocolate Cake Recipe for Decorating Layer Cakes and Tiered Cakes! decorating
Every baker needs a go-to chocolate cake recipe for decorating, and today I’m sharing mine that comes from The Stay At Home Chef! I use this cake recipe as a base for many different recipes that include different fillings and frostings. The best thing about this recipe is that the layers are stable enough for tiered cakes (I’ve test this many times!) and stacked layer cakes. This cake is very easy to make, and I’ll show you each step and give you some tips along the way. This recipe is full proof and I hope you love it as much as I do!
Notes:
Best Chocolate Cake Recipe from The Stay At Home Chef:
This recipe makes three 9 “ cake layers

2 tsp. vanilla extract
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 and prepare three 9” cake pans
In large bowl mix together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Add eggs, buttermilk, warm water, oil, and vanilla. Mix until smooth, about 2-3 minutes. Batter will be thin.

Bake 30-35 minutes until toothpick/knife inserted comes out clean
Cool in pan for 10 minutes before turning over on rack to cool completely.
Cool cake layers completely before assembling cake.

Chocolate Cake Recipe
Chocolate Cake recipe by Anna Olson.
Makes a 2-layer, 8-inch cake.
Devil's Food Cake ingredients:
1 ½ cup (195 g) cake and pastry flour
1 ⅓ cup (295 g) superfine (quick dissolve) sugar
½ cup (60 g) Dutch process cocoa powder
¾ tsp (4 g) baking soda
¼ tsp (2 g) salt
½ cup (115 g) cool, unsalted butter, cut into pieces
½ cup (125 ml) hot, strong brewed coffee
½ cup (125 ml) milk
1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla extract
2 large large eggs, room temperature
Ingredients for the Fudge Frosting:
12 oz (340 g) semisweet chocolate, chopped
1 ¾ (425 ml) cup whipping cream
½ cup (125 ml) sour cream
½ (3 ml) tsp vanilla extract
1 pinch salt
Baking Directions for the Cake:
1. For the cake, preheat the oven to 350ºF (180ºC). Grease 2 8-inch cake pans and line the bottoms with parchment. Dust the sides of the pans with flour, tapping out any excess flour.
2. Sift the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt into a large mixing bowl or into the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment. Add the butter cutting it in (if in a large bowl, use electric beaters) until the mixture is a fine crumble (like the texture of fine breadcrumbs) and no large pieces of butter are visible.
3. Stir the hot coffee, milk and vanilla together and add it all at once to the flour mixture, blending until smooth. Break the eggs into a small dish and stir them with a fork and then add them to the batter, again blending on medium speed just until smooth (the batter will be very fluid). Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and tap them on the counter to eliminate any bubbles.
4. Bake the cakes for about 30 minutes, until a tester inserted in the centre of the cake comes out clean. Cool the cakes for 20 minutes in their pans, then tip out onto a cooling rack to cool completely to room temperature. The cakes can be baked a day ahead, wrapped and stored at room temperature before frosting.
Directions for the Fudge Frosting
1. For the frosting, place the chocolate and cream in a metal bowl and place it over a pot of barely simmering water. Stir the chocolate and cream occasionally and gently until all the chocolate has melted and the mixture is smooth. Remove the bowl from the heat and whisk in the sour cream, vanilla and salt. Let the mixture cool completely to room temperature, stir occasionally (you can chill the mixture for just a few minutes to start it setting, then let it continue to cool naturally at room temperature). Once cooled to a thicker consistency, whisk by hand to thicken just until spreadable consistency (do not whip vigorously or with electric beaters).
2. Place the first cake layers on your serving plate and, if needed, trim the cake to level it. Spread a generous layer of the frosting over the top of the cake. Trim the second cake, if needed and place this on top of the first cake layer. Spread frosting over the top and then the sides of the cake, using swirling motion with your spatula to create a nice design. Chill the cake for at least 2 hours, or until ready to serve.
3. The cake will keep, refrigerated, for up to 3 days.

THE ULTIMATE CHOCOLATE CAKE
Servings: 12
INGREDIENTS
CAKE
1½ cups flour
1 cup Dutch processed cocoa powder
1 teaspoon salt
1½ teaspoons baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
1½ cups stout
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon espresso powder
1 cup butter, softened
1½ cups sugar
3 eggs
½ cup mayonnaise
4 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
BUTTERCREAM
1½ cups butter, softened
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
½ cup Dutch processed cocoa powder
5 cups powdered sugar
Fresh fruit, to decorate
PREPARATION
1. Preheat oven to 325˚F (160˚C).
2. Grease and line three 8-inch cake tins with parchment paper.
3. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
4. In a large glass measuring cup, combine the stout, vanilla, and espresso powder. Set aside.
5. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until it is light and fluffy, about 5 minutes, scraping down the sides occasionally to ensure all the ingredients are being evenly creamed together.
6. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next.
7. Add the mayonnaise and beat until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
8. Alternate adding the prepared dry and wet ingredients to the batter. Starting with about ⅓ of the dry ingredients, beat until incorporated. Then add ⅓ of the liquid ingredients, mixing until the batter comes together. Continue until all the wet and dry ingredients have been incorporated.
9. Using a rubber scraper, fold the dark chocolate chunks into the batter.
10. Distribute the batter evenly between the 3 prepared cake tins.
11. Bake for about 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
12. Place the cakes on a cooling rack and leave to cool for about 10-15 minutes, until the outside of the pan is cool enough to touch.
13. Once the cakes have cooled, loosen the edges using a butter knife. Then place a large plate over the tin and invert to release the cake from the pan. Remove the parchment paper from the bottom of the cake and slide the cake back onto the cooling rack to cool completely. Repeat for the remaining two layers.
14. While your cakes are cooling, prepare the buttercream.
15. In a large bowl, beat together the butter and vanilla.
16. Gradually add in the cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and milk, continuously beating until all the ingredients have been incorporated and the frosting is light and fluffy.
17. Decorate to your liking.
18. Enjoy!

Homemade Delicious Especially Dark Chocolate Cake - The Best Moist Cake Recipe from Hersheys
ALL THE MEASUREMENTS ARE LISTED BELOW where it says SHOW MORE
Chocolate cake for dessert is my husband's apple pie. He is a chocolate addict; a chocoholic. And as much as he loves chocolate ice cream and chocolate candy or candy bars or chocolate anything, his absolute favorite is chocolate cake.
No fruit (heaven forbid), no frills, just homemade chocolate cake. He also likes a box chocolate cake in a pinch but now that I've made this HERSHEY'S Especially Dark Chocolate Cake Recipe with my own twist, he begs me for this every time, with chocolate frosting (this recipe) or cream cheese or whipped cream. I can usually count on him for anything when I put one of these together.
So here's how to make THE best, most delicious dark chocolate cake you've ever had. I made this for my mother's birthday and I think it's her new favorite too. Recipe details are listed below the video. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
1 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup HERSHEY'S SPECIAL DARK Cocoa
1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup boiling strong coffee
Directions (cake):
Heat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans. (I like to add a round piece of parchment paper to the bottom of my pans but you don't have to.)
Stir together sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt in large bowl. Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla; With electric mixer beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin). Pour batter into prepared pans.
Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans to wire racks. Cool completely. Frost with DARK CHOCOLATE FROSTING. (see recipe below)
DARK CHOCOLATE FROSTING
Ingredients:
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
2/3 cup HERSHEY'S SPECIAL DARK Cocoa
3 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Melt butter. Set aside while you mix dry ingredients.
In a mixing bowl, stir together cocoa and powdered sugar then mix in vanilla, heavy cream and butter. Beat with electric mixer until you get a creamy spreading consistency. Add a tablespoon or two of heavy cream if frosting is too dry, or a little extra sugar if too wet.
Makes about 2 cups frosting.

Chocolate cake is made with chocolate. It can also include other ingredients. These include fudge, vanilla creme, and other sweeteners. The history of chocolate cake goes back to 1764, when Dr. James Baker discovered how to make chocolate by grinding cocoa beans between two massive circular millstones. In 1828, Coenraad van Houten of the Netherlands developed a mechanical extraction method for extracting the fat from cacao liquor resulting in cacao butter and the partly defatted cacao, a compacted mass of solids that could be sold as it was rock cacao or ground into powder. The processes transformed chocolate from an exclusive luxury to an inexpensive daily snack. A process for making silkier and smoother chocolate called conching was developed in 1879 by Rodolphe Lindt and made it easier to bake with chocolate, as it amalgamates smoothly and completely with cake batters. Until 1890 to 1900, chocolate recipes were mostly for chocolate drinks, and its presence in cakes was only in fillings and glazes. In 1886, American cooks began adding chocolate to the cake batter, to make the first chocolate cakes in the US.
The Duff Company of Pittsburgh, a molasses manufacturer, introduced Devil's food chocolate cake mixes in the mid-1930s, but introduction was put on hold during World War II. Duncan Hines introduced a Three Star Special (so called because a white, yellow or chocolate cake could be made from the same mix) was introduced three years after cake mixes from General Mills and Duncan Hines, and took over 48 percent of the market.
In the U.S., chocolate decadence cakes were popular in the 1980s; in the 1990s, single-serving molten chocolate cakes with liquid chocolate centers and infused chocolates with exotic flavors such as tea, curry, red pepper, passion fruit, and champagne were popular. Chocolate lounges and artisanal chocolate makers were popular in the 2000s. Rich, flourless, all-but-flourless chocolate cakes are now standard in the modern pâtisserie, according to The New Taste of Chocolate in 2001.
--------
Cake is a form of sweet dessert that is typically baked. In their oldest forms, cakes were modifications of breads, but cakes now cover a wide range of preparations that can be simple or elaborate, and that share features with other desserts such as pastries, meringues, custards, and pies.
Typical cake ingredients are flour, sugar, eggs, butter or oil or margarine, a liquid, and leavening agents, such as baking soda or baking powder. Common additional ingredients and flavourings include dried, candied, or fresh fruit, nuts, cocoa, and extracts such as vanilla, with numerous substitutions for the primary ingredients. Cakes can also be filled with fruit preserves, nuts or dessert sauces (like pastry cream), iced with buttercream or other icings, and decorated with marzipan, piped borders, or candied fruit.
Cake is often served as a celebratory dish on ceremonial occasions, such as weddings, anniversaries, and birthdays. There are countless cake recipes; some are bread-like, some are rich and elaborate, and many are centuries old. Cake making is no longer a complicated procedure; while at one time considerable labor went into cake making (particularly the whisking of egg foams), baking equipment and directions have been simplified so that even the most amateur of cooks may bake a cake.
