Anna Olson Bakes DELICIOUS Cinnamon Twists!
Cinnamon Twists are a sweet treat that go perfectly with a pumpkin spice latte! Chef Anna Olson is going to teach you how to make this delicious recipe from scratch! Follow along with the recipe below!
Makes about 16 twists
1 cup (225 g) unsalted butter, at room temperature
6 oz (180 g) cream cheese, at room temperature
2 Tbsp (25 g) granulated sugar
2 cups (300 g) all-purpose flour
½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
1 tsp (5 mL) finely grated lemon zest
½ tsp (1.5 g) ground cinnamon
¼ cup (60 g) unsalted butter, melted
1 cup (150 g) raisins
1 egg whisked with 2 Tbsp (30 mL) water, for brushing
1. For the dough, beat the butter and cream cheese together in a large bowl until smooth. Beat in the sugar, then add the flour and stir until well combined. Shape the dough into 2 discs, wrap in plastic wrap and chill for at least 2 hours, until firm.
2. To assemble, preheat the oven to 375 F (190 C) and line 1 to 2 baking trays with parchment paper.
3. Stir the sugar, lemon zest and cinnamon together in a small dish
4. Roll out the first disc of dough on a lightly floured work surface to a rectangle about 10-x-15-inches (25-x-36 cm) and ¼-inch (12 mm) thick. Trim the edges and then brush it with the melted butter and sprinkle generously with the cinnamon sugar. Sprinkle half of the raisins on half of the dough (10-x-7.5 inches/12-x-18 cm) and fold the half without raisins over this to cover and press gently (the dough will not seal). Cut this into 8 strips and give each a few twist before placing onto the baking trays, leaving space between them (don’t worry if a few raisins fall out). Repeat this with the second piece of dough.
5. Brush the twists with a little egg wash and sprinkle with remaining cinnamon sugar, if any is left. Bake the twists for about 20 minutes, until golden brown. Cool the twists on the baking trays.
The twists will keep up to 3 days in an airtight container.

We're taking the classic cinnamon roll and adding a twist in this easy recipe!
I'm Zoe Francois and I just love making these rolls - all the fun happens in the twisting and turning of the dough. For the free recipe click on the i in the top right corner of your screen.
First, here's what you need to make the dough...
and this is what you'll need to make the cinnamon suger
In a stand mixer add the warmed milk to the yeast, eggs, sugar and salt to make a super simple dough
Using a paddle attachnment - stir
Dump in the flour,
and mix until it's all combined.
Now drop room-temperature butter into the dough, one tablespoon at a time.
Turn up the speed and let it knead for about 3 minutes. If your butter is cool, this may take longer.
Cover the bowl loosely with plastic and let the dough rise for about 1 hour.
While that's happening, we'll mix together the cinnamon and sugars. I like to include some brown sugar, because I love the flavor it adds.
Now that your dough is rested, it has just about doubled in size and you're ready to get rollin'.
On a floured surface - divide the dough into 8 equal pieces.
Shape each piece into a ball.
Then shape each ball into a rectangle that's about 1/16-inch-thick.
Spoon the cinnamon sugar over the top, and press it into the dough,
so it won't spill out when you roll the dough into a log.
Cut the log in half like this and then twist it into a rope. Tuck the ends under so they won't pop out while they're baking.
Transfer the rolls to a parchment covered baking sheet.
Cover them and let them rest for an hour.
Bake in a preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until they are golden brown and set in the middle.
These cinnamon rolls smell incredible! Let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Believe me - they won't be around for long!

How to Make DUROS Cinnamon Twists with Rotini Pasta | TIKTOKS DUROS CINNAMON TWISTS
I found out how Taco Bell makes their Cinnamon Sugar Twists, and what they use to make them..
I actually found out from my Latino Neighbor who shops at the same Meat Market as I do, & she pointed out to me, of what Taco Bell uses to make the Cinnamon Twist.. & of course I was like Yeah right.. & she bought some & made them.. & Sure enough.. THEY WERE WHAT TACO BELL MADE! So me being me, I went back to the Store & I stocked up on them, & have been making them ever since! Me & my kids are totally Hooked on these Snacks. Now on the weekends, or when they have Movie Night, they ask me to make some, & then they Season them with whatever they want.. I bought all of the Popcorn Seasonings to coat then, or they can eat em Plain! Now I was told to fry these in Corn Oil because it makes the Flavor of them POP more than just using Vegetable Oil Or Canola Oil.. & that’s what I do... And when I say that Corn Oil enhances the Flavor.. It does just that.
I will list down below all of the Duros I used in my Video, as well as the Mexican Grocery Store I bought them from, which is right up the street from my House.
Y’all have to make these at home.. they are WAY better than the ones sold at TB just a FYI.. & you get way more just for $2.
Please Check your Local Mexican Grocery Store.. Mine was called LA MICHOACANA..
The Names of the Duros I used in my Video are as Follow::
CHICHARRON DE HARINA ROTINI
(The Small Curly zones)
CHICHARRON CUADRO GRANDE
(The Large Squares)
CHICHARRON RIQUEZAS DE LA TIERRA
(The Ones like at Taco Bell)
CHICHARRON DE HARINA RUEDA
(The Ones that look like Round Basketballs)
CHICHARRON DE HARINA MINI CUADRO
(The little Rectangular Strips)

Cinnamon Twists Recipe
Try this 3 ingredient snack made from puff pastry, cinnamon and sugar. You can decide for yourself how much sugar you want to coat them with. I chose a balanced version. Some will drench it in sugar and cinnamon.
Equipment used to produce this video:
- “Flagship killer” smartphone Oneplus 2 as camera.
- Low budget tripod with flexible standard.
- Software used to edit video footage used is Lightworks.
- I will transfer at least 1 video per week from my custom build computerdesk with integrated computer to Youtube. At least I will try to.
Some people claim that it is easier to cook with electricity, like a ceramic hob, and that it is cheaper. I solely cook with gas since I have no other choice. Also most Chinese dishes are only cooked with fire instead of electricity.

Trading in subs is not accepted by me and against my believes to truly grow. So requests will not be replied on.
And I’m sorry that I have to say I do not have time to give cooking classes since I have a fulltime job beside my Youtube video making. But I might try to make some hosting videos in the future of how to cook.

Swedish Cinnamon Buns (Kanelbullar) with Brontë Aurell
With a simple step-by-step recipe and a lesson in the all-important twist to get those delicious cinnamon flavours running all the way through your bun; this will be your new go-to recipe for traditional Swedish cinnamon buns. Check out the FULL RECIPE BELOW and find out more about Brontë and her new baking book on the ScandiKitchen website: Also available on Amazon and other good bookstores.
REAL CINNAMON BUNS
Having a good recipe for kanelbullar is essential, because it’s the Scandi treat you will make over and over. Don’t forget to knead some love into the dough; it makes them extra-delicious.
13 g/2½ teaspoons dried/active dry yeast or 25 g/1 oz. fresh yeast
250 ml/1 cup whole milk, heated to 36–37°C (97–99°F)
80 g/¾ stick butter, melted and cooled slightly
40 g/3 tablespoons caster/granulated sugar
400–500 g/3–3⅔ cups white strong/bread flour
2 teaspoons ground cardamom
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg, beaten
80 g/½stick plus 1 tablespoon butter, at room temperature
1 teaspoon plain/all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground cardamom
½ teaspoon vanilla sugar
80 g/¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons caster/ granulated sugar
beaten egg, for brushing
3 tablespoons golden/light corn syrup (warmed) and nibbed ‘pearl’ sugar
2 baking sheets, greased and lined with baking parchment
If using fresh yeast, add the warm milk to a mixing bowl and add the yeast; stir until dissolved, then pour into the bowl of the food mixer. If using dried/active dry yeast, pour the warm milk into a bowl, sprinkle in the yeast and whisk together. Cover with clingfilm/plastic wrap and leave in a warm place for about 15 minutes to become bubbly. Pour into the bowl of a food mixer fitted with a dough hook.
Mix in the cooled, melted butter. Allow to combine for 1 minute or so, then add the sugar. In a separate bowl, weigh out 400 g/3 cups of the flour, add the cardamom and salt and mix. Start adding the flour and spices into the milk mixture, bit by bit. Add half the beaten egg. Keep kneading for 5 minutes. You may need to add more flour – you want the mixture to end up a bit sticky. It is better not to add too much flour as this will result in dry buns. You can always add more later.
Cover the dough with clingfilm/plastic wrap. Allow to rise for around 30 minutes or until it has doubled in size.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead through with your hands and work in more flour if needed. Roll out the dough to a 40 x 50 cm/16 x 20 inch rectangle.
In a bowl, add the butter, flour, spices and sugars and mix together well to make the filling. Using a spatula, spread the mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough. Fold the dough in half lengthways.
Using a knife or pizza cutter, cut 16 widthways strips of dough. Take one strip and carefully twist it a few times, then curl into a ‘knot’, ensuring both ends are tucked in or under so they do not spring open during baking. Place the folded ‘knots’ on the prepared baking sheets spaced well apart. Leave to rise under a kitchen cloth for 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) Gas 6.
Brush each bun lightly with beaten egg and place in the preheated oven to bake for around 10–12 minutes or until golden.
Remove from the oven. Brush the warm buns lightly with syrup then decorate with the nibbed ‘pearl’ sugar. Immediately cover with a damp, clean cloth for a few minutes to prevent the buns from going dry.

Cinnamon Braid Bread - Estonian Kringle
Easy recipe for rich and buttery Estonian kringle, a mouth-watering cinnamon braided bread. Soft interior, crusty top, perfect for breakfast or holidays. The smell in the house while baking is divine. Give this a try, you will love it.
2 1/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup lukewarm milk
1 tbsp sugar
15 g fresh yeast (1 envelope active dry yeast)
1/8 cup (30 g) melted butter
1 egg yolk
1/4 cup (50 g) softened butter
4 or 5 tbsp sugar
3 tsp cinnamon
3 tsp grounded almonds, optional
1. In a medium bowl stir fresh yeast with sugar until it liquefies. Stir in the lukewarm milk and then add the egg yolk and melted butter.
2. In a large bowl whisk together the flour and salt. Pour the milk mixture over the dry ingredients and start kneading it until it pulls away from the edges of the bowl. Give the dough the shape of a ball. Sprinkle oil onto a clean bowl, place the dough and cover with plastic wrap. Let it rest for about 1 hour at room temperature (warm space) until doubled in size. I usually put the bowl near my oven hob so the warmth get to it. It helps the dough rise very well.
3. While the dough rises, whisk together the butter with sugar and cinnamon for the filling. Set aside.
4. Preheat the oven to 400 F (200 C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
5. On a floured surface, using a rolling pin roll the dough to a rectangle of about 18x12 inches. (I've made it smaller but it would have been better to make it of 18 inch).
6. Spoon the cinnamon filling over top (keep about 1 tbsp of the filling for the end), spreading evenly, leaving a clean 1/2-inch border around the edges. Sprinkle the almonds over the cinnamon filling. Roll up the dough and using a sharp knife, cut the log in half lengthwise leaving one edge uncut for about 1/2 inch.
7. Start braiding the two pieces, trying to keep the open layers exposed so the cut ends remain on top (this is what makes this bread effect).Pinch the ends together and form a wreath.
8. Transfer it to the prepared baking sheet. Brush the wreath with the left cinnamon filling.
9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. For the last 10 minutes you can reduce the oven temperature to 180 C (350 F).
10. Serve it warm as it is or with your favorite topping. It is gorgeous.:)

00:00:37 - How to make bread dough by hand
1️⃣ 00:00:37 - In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine warm milk, yeast, sugar, salt, butter, and egg. Add in flour. Using a dough hook, turn the mixer on to a low speed.
2️⃣ 00:01:44 - Once the flour starts to incorporate into the dough, increase the speed to a medium range. Add more flour as necessary so that the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl. The dough mixture should be tacky, but not stick to your hands. It should be soft. Add more or less flour until the dough reaches the desired consistency. The amount of flour you add in bread making is always an approximation and you should go by feel.
3️⃣ 00:02:08 - Transfer the dough to a lightly greased mixing bowl. Cover with a towel and let rise until double in size, about 1 hour.
4️⃣ 00:02:22 - Lightly grease a baking sheet. Punch down the dough and roll into a 12 inch by 18 inch rectangle.
5️⃣ 00:02:32 - Brush the dough with 1/2 cup softened butter. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle on top of the melted butter. Roll up tightly lengthwise so you have one long roll. Use a sharp knife to slice the dough in half lengthwise so that you have two long pieces.
6️⃣ 00:03:45 - Twist the pieces together tightly and pull into a circular wreath, pinching the two ends together.
7️⃣ 00:04:14 - Place the wreath onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Cover and let rise 30 to 45 minutes.
8️⃣ 00:04:18 - Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Bake the bread for about 20-25 minutes, until just kissed with brown on top.

Deep Fried Cinnamon Twists...From Rotini Pasta?
You may have come across a clip on the internet showing a worker at Taco Bell dropping handfulls of what appear to be rotini pasta into a deep fryer, and producing puffy twists that are then coated with cinnamon and sugar, making a desert. Intrigued, I looked into it, and discovered that they weren't actually rotini pasta, but a very special form of dried dough called a duro. Once I discovered that, I decided to get some to try them out.
